Chariton Review is currently not accepting new submissions.

Founded in 1975, Chariton Review showcases work that exhibits a strong sense of the craft and conventions of poetry, short fiction, and essays. It includes literature that demonstrates an active familiarity with  contemporary innovations and conversations in literary writing and  exhibits mindfulness of various rich traditions.

Chariton Review invites submissions of previously unpublished work, in English only, from beginning and established writers alike, and from any geographical region. 

~ Please include all poems in one file, which keeps your costs down. Please start a new page for each poem. 

~ We do accept simultaneous submissions, but please notify us if your work has been accepted elsewhere.

~ We hope to respond to your submission within three months, though time will vary depending on the number of submissions received. Please wait to hear from us before you submit additional work.
